Three channels, three jobs
cashewhunter255 on Twitch is the main live channel. cashewhunter255 on YouTube is the home for videos. cashewhunter255 VODs stores full stream archives that would otherwise be difficult to find later.
The separate cashewhunter247 Twitch channel uses streams from that archive for experimental 24/7 reruns. It is not a second creator identity and it is not meant to hide when something is a rerun.
Why rerun an archive?
Live streams are temporary by nature, but challenge attempts and long playthroughs can still be worth watching after the original broadcast. A continuous rerun channel makes the back catalogue easy to drop into without choosing a multi-hour video first.
The source remains the VOD archive. Viewers who want a specific recording or control over playback can go directly there.
Still an experiment
The 24/7 channel is currently experimental. Its format may change as the archive grows, and the same always-on idea may later expand through the VOD YouTube channel. This page will be updated when that relationship changes.
